Installer Terms & Conditions (May 2025, Version 1.0)
You are about to register a Grant Aerona heat pump for its 12-year product guarantee. The purpose of this document is to provide the framework as you are claiming the 45% Innovation Measure under the ECO4 funding scheme. This document is to protect you, the installer, Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd, and the consumer/end user.
1. By registering the installation onto the Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd, you are declaring that
a) The installation qualifies for Eco4 funding and the 45% Innovative Measure as defined by OFGEM
b) The installation company is a Trustmark Registered business
c) Any other measure (such as insulation) is not covered by this agreement
d) The required improvement in SAP banding is the responsibility of the installer and not part of this agreement
e) The installer has the appropriate insurances and consumer financial protection in place as per PAS 2035:2019
2. To meet the requirements to be awarded the 45% uplift, Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd has agreed with OFGEM to provide the consumer with the following benefits as recorded in OFGEM Innovation Measure Number 037:
a) A 12-year parts and labour guarantee applicable to the heat pump or heat pump and cylinder (if a Grant UK cylinder has been installed)
b) 11 annual services to the heat pump or to the heat pump and cylinder (if a Grant cylinder has been installed)
c) Remotely monitor the heat pump at 3 and 12 months to ensure it is working as efficiently as possible
d) The first annual service shall fall on the first anniversary of the installation
e) A label to be placed on or near the heat pump making clear that the heat pump includes free remote monitoring and free servicing and maintenance for 12 years
Provide a letter to the ECO household outlining these benefits
3. It is the responsibility of the installer of these measures that:
a) The installation complies with the scheme rules as laid down by MCS, Trustmark, OFGEM and the Obligated Supplier and that the installer has followed OFGEM’s ECO4 Delivery Guidance document. ECO4 Delivery Guidance | Ofgem
b) The installation is installed and commissioned in line with the manufacturer’s instructions
c) On registration, the Installation company pays Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd £1,650 + Vat (Grant Heat Pump only) or £1,870 + Vat (if installing a Grant Heat Pump and Cylinder) to provide the 11 annual services
d) No additional charges are made to the ECO household to recover this cost
4. The 12-year product guarantee does not include:
a) External controls or components not supplied by Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd
b) The repair of any leaks or blockages/restrictions occurring within the main heating system
c) The balancing of the heating system (Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd will provide assistance, if required)
d) The heat loss calculations or the design of the system unless requested prior to the installation.
